Summary: Cboe Data and Access Solutions “DnA” is a data and analytics division of Cboe with a broad suite of sophisticated products and services designed to help clients navigate the markets. The Senior Product Specialist - Exchange and Vendor Content will work within the Risk and Market Analytics Group (“RMA”). The role will be responsible for providing data analysis and content expertise for RMA with respect to global markets content: including, but not limited to market data, reference, and fundamental data, the (“content”); provided by internal sources, external exchanges and/or third-party vendors, the (“data providers”).
Responsibilities
Product Development – Data Sourcing & Data Onboarding Obligations
- Contribute to Data Sourcing activities including but not limited to:
o working with Product Owners and Global Product Data Sourcing to analyze data requirements
o identifying suitable source data from data providers.
- Work with Product Owners to ensure content is appropriately represented in requirements specifications.
- Assist with content onboarding in collaboration with Product Owners and Technology Teams.
Product Development – Content Standardization/Data Models
- Support all content initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
- Work with Product Owners and Technology Teams to develop/harmonize, document, and maintain standardized internal distribution (intra-DnA) data models.
- Work with Product Owners and Technology Teams to help develop/harmonize, document and maintain standardized external distribution (customer) data models for content.
- Centrally document all content used throughout RMA (including maintaining details of supported features/specification for each product).
Data Providers’ Content Expertise
- Provide data analysis support to Product Owners and Technology Teams
- Understand content use cases to support Product Owners and Development Teams’ technical content specialists e.g., in relation to Cboe Ticker Plant.
- Contribute to the tracking and review of Exchange and Vendor Driven Changes for data provider’s specifications and content changes and raise with product and development teams to appraise and implement as required.
- Contribute to data provider policy changes tracking and review by Global Product Data Licensing.
- Provide content related training to internal teams.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in a STEM field
- Experience in a market data analysis role in the financial markets
Essential Skills/Experience:
- At least 5 years’ experience of working in Data Analysis within financial markets across multiple asset classes.
· Domain expertise in Financial Markets (Experience in more than one of: Market Data; Reference Data; Risk, Compliance and/or Financial Technology). · Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Vigorous desire to become an expert on content across RMA products
- Proficiency with SQL and RDBMSs, e.g., SQL Server, MySQL
- Ability to establish strong and productive working relationships across departments
- Ability to work well in a global, dynamic team-oriented environment as well as ability to work well independently
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively across projects in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Proficiency with Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Proficient in JIRA and Confluence (OR Similar).
- Proficiency with Windows, Linux command line.
- Familiar with software development and change management best practices.

As required by the New York City Human Rights Law, Cboe provides a reasonable range of minimum base salary for roles that may be performed in New York City. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, level of experience, etc. For New York City only, the range of starting base salary for this role is
$90,000-$132,000
. Additional incentive compensation and benefits may be available.
