Description:

Directs all activities of a large Aircraft Maintenance Program with over 200 aircraft and over 300 daily sorties in support of USAF AETC pilot training. Senior leader responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of the program. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules. Identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or negotiating change to contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program.

Qualifications


Requirements:

  • Possess the ability to perform comprehensive management of a large USAF Aircraft Maintenance Program while interacting daily with USAF Program Management and customers at a high level.

  • Detailed knowledge of USAF maintenance practices, AFIs, and protocols is required.

  • Experience interfacing with USAF customer at a senior level is required.

  • Prior AETC experience is preferred.

  • Bachelor Degree + 8 years leadership experience in aviation program management or DoD aircraft maintenance organizations USAF preferred.

You must be able to meet all health requirements, including but not limited to, current and future vaccination requirements for infectious diseases such as COVID-19.

Other:

  • Position is contingent upon contract; however, the successful candidate may be offered a part time consulting work with flexible hours during proposal development.
