Sr. Scientist will develop Custom Assay Development projects to ensure the successful adoption and application of Immunoassay skills and PerkinElmer technologies. Reporting directly to a Project Manager but with minimal supervision, you will utilize standard procedures along with your own judgment for each projects assigned. This position will interface with customers and the field-based team (sales representative and Field Application Scientist).
Responsibilities:
- Develop custom assays with a wide range of PerkinElmer technologies (AlphaLISA, HTRF, Delfia...) using expertise and Assay development troubleshooting skills.
- Ensure open/frequent communication with project manager.
- Participate to general lab activities related with the custom activities.
- Provide assay development expertise to Lab technicians for custom labeling activity. Contribute to the production of custom made-to-order products.
- Generate and maintain scientific documentation providing record of technical development work on behalf of customers.
- Provide assay development and custom labeling method training to existing and/or newly hired employees as needed.
- Interact with internal groups (Research & Development, other Custom Solutions team and Marketing) to support customer use and development of technologies.
- Conduct seminars, webinars and customer training as needed.
Key competencies:
- Strong experience in assay development and immunoassays
- Assay development troubleshooting skills.
- In depth knowledge of theoretical and applied AlphaLISA and HTRF technology is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic chemistry concepts and applications.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a Life Sciences discipline
- 3-5+ years’ laboratory experience
OR
- PhD in a Life Sciences discipline
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Life Sciences, Biological Sciences or Chemistry.
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Graph Pad Prism.
