SUMMARY:

Fort Bend ISD is hiring a “Senior Selection Specialist”.

Under the supervision of the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition, the Senior Selection Specialist acquires qualified and successful candidates for the District through targeted selection programs. Fosters strong relationships with campus and sourcing contacts to establish and maintain healthy talent pipelines. Strategically leverages data to develop and execute a recruiting and selection strategy that identifies top talent who can positively impact student learning for the District.

DUTIES:

  • Develops and facilitates differentiated support and selection programming guidance to principals and campus hiring teams to aid hiring decisions that best meet specific campus needs.
  • Works closely with instructional leadership, HR leadership, and industry HR colleagues to benchmark and develop improved screening practices for instructional and campus talent.
  • Documents and analyzes the results of each selection program's effort, identifies trends in data, and recommends changes in selection strategies as needed.
  • Develops and executes recruiting plans for the district primarily for instructional and campus employees, using both traditional and innovative sources and methods to attract new talent.
  • Works closely with HR Business Partners and School Support Officers to ensure campus vacancies are filled timely.
  • Leverages and establishes positive ongoing relationships with university/college administrators, community organizations, and other sourcing contacts to secure quality instructional and campus talent for the District.
  • Cultivates candidate relationships, leveraging lead generation strategies and utilizing a customer relationship management database throughout the job search process to attract a pool of high-quality talent.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 2 years minimum successful experience as a principal, assistant principal, dean, or teacher plus position required
  • Experience attending large job fairs and facilitating interview protocol preferred
  • Microsoft Office
  • Office equipment (e.g., computer, copier)

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Master’s degree is preferred or a minimum of 2 years recruiting experience.
