RC Mowers is looking for a Software Engineer / Application Developer to join our autonomous robotics team. You will be working on brand new, cutting edge products, writing software and applications for autonomous robotic machines.

THE JOB

You are a critical part of the autonomous ground vehicle team, bringing new and exciting projects to life. You are designing and developing software and customer applications that control and interface with our products. This role reports to the Chief Technical Officer.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Software development of all kinds, including user interface, cloud based applications, database work, and machine control.
• Coding related to robotics control, motion, and positioning.
• Web based applications, mobile apps, and other related items
• Develop algorithms for classification and location of objects for decision making.
• Complex problem solving in general. Research difficult technical subjects to find the best solutions.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Certificate or degree in software engineering, computer science, programming, or similar related fields.
• 3+ years of industry experience in software, engineering, robotics, similar.

Desirable (but not required) Skills and Experience:

• Industry experience with various sensors, autonomous driving, and/or robotics.
• Experience with web based user applications
• Experience in autonomous vehicles and driving which could include student contests.
• Experience with vision systems such as radar and/or LIDAR perception.
• Understanding of common communication protocols such as CAN, Ethernet, USB, etc.
• Understanding of common autonomous vehicle and robotics standards

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $145,000.00 per year
