Job Description:
Crowe is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in our Product Engineering practice to guide and direct a team of developers responsible for product development, enhancements, and maintenance for Crowe Secure Information Exchange (CSIE) that is leveraged across multiple business units. This position involves time divided between architecture and hands-on development (~80%). Individual should have a passion for software development, innovation, and experience playing a leadership role within a Scrum team.- Work with the CSIE product teams to design, build, implement, and support the product modules and integrations with various Crowe systems and services.
- Responsible for creating highly available, scalable, and performant applications using the Microsoft technology stack and Azure Cloud services. The platform utilizes the following technologies: .NET 6, Web API, Angular 13, Entity Framework, Azure SQL Manage Instance, Azure Functions, and many other Azure services.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Owners to refine requirements.
- Collaborate with the Solution Architect and the development teams to define technical approach for user stories.
- Consult with the Solution Architect, Architecture Review Board, and broader Crowe IS teams to ensure architectures are meeting all firm technical and security standards.
- Embrace the Shift Left mindset and weave quality early into the development lifecycle.
- Participate in establishing, reviewing, and enforcing software development practices and architectures.
- Conduct research, when necessary, advise on new relevant technology, and evaluate alternative solutions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in designing, developing, configuring, implementing, and supporting diverse enterprise applications with solutions using the Microsoft technology stack and the .Net framework.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in ASP.Net development, including Web API, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, preferably Angular, using TypeScript.
- Minimum 5 years of experience developing applications on the SQL Server platform using T-SQL, stored procedures, and functions.
- Strong experience creating REST APIs on Azure.
- Strong experience with Web Sockets using SignalR
- Strong experience with building SaaS solutions using Azure services such as Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure Functions, API Management, Azure App Service, Service Bus, Redis.
- Strong experience with Entity Framework or similar ORM for database interactions.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and architecting within an Agile team.
- Understanding of DevOps and the value of deployment automation. Experience with Azure DevOps deployment YAML pipelines, Octopus or similar.
- Experience leveraging Azure DevOps (ADO) or Jira for work item management and CI/CD automation, as well as Git for version control.
- Strong understanding of object-orient programming (OOP), SOLID Design Principles and design patterns.
- Ability to leverage IoC and unit testing to deliver a loosely coupled architecture with a focus on quality.
- Strong knowledge of software development best practices, including coding standards, code reviews and automated testing.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to interact effectively with people from many different disciplines.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Other Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred experience with the Agile Scrum methodology, Scaled Agile experience favored.
- Experience with Power BI API and Power BI Embedded, not required but preferred.
- Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, not required but preferred.
- Experience leading hybrid onshore / offshore (India) teams preferred.
