The Senior Software Engineer, while working with the Principal and other engineers, will develop and deploy the patient care system products. This is a purpose-built, highly scalable, brand-new piece of software that will be used in the management of post-acute patient care. AMT’s technology stack consists of the traditional on-prem with a scalable system in a public cloud.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be working closely with the Principal Software Engineer and other engineers to design and implement; debug and troubleshoot; and monitor and fine-tune patient care software systems used in AMT’s post-acute care environment. You are expected to be an expert who can communicate all technical aspects of the product when called upon.
Education and Technical Skills:
Must-have skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or in an equivalent engineering discipline. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of full stack software design and development.
- Expert level knowledge in NodeJS, JavaScript, GitHub
- Good understanding of Azure systems such as Azure Bus, Azure App Services, Managed SQL, etc.
- Experience in designing and implementing large scale systems using modern cloud-based technologies.
- Excellent coding and debugging skills.
- Thorough understanding of modern data structures, algorithms, and their performance characteristics.
- Extensive experience in designing and implementing secure web-scale APIs and microservices.
- At least four years of experience in at least one of the three: AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Fluency in designing databases using Microsoft SQL Server.
- This is a high visibility role that requires the interaction with other functions such as DevOps, Product Management, stakeholders from our patient care team within AMT as well as our external healthcare partners.
- Excellent communication skills are a pre-requisite.
- Active participation in important discussions and the ability to influence others will be key success factors for this role.
- Expertise in C# or Java
- Good understanding of modern Dev Ops
- Transactional replication using Managed SQL or stand-alone SQL Server.
- Experience in High Availability and Disaster Recovery.
- Familiarity with medical billing system is a major plus.
