Responsibilities
- Represent the consumer in internal and client meetings, presenting research and strategic findings to clients, and helping guide creative work
- Monitor and interpret cultural trends and competitive news relevant to the client’s business
- Recommend and implement research for consumer insight gathering and the strategic process (including managing primary research partners when needed)
- Develop accurate and insightful conclusions from research data
- Synthesize insights into compelling stories, building narratives with tension that can inspire both creatives and clients
- Craft creative briefs and provide clear persuasive briefings to creatives
- Develop consumer journeys and communications plans, in collaboration with integrated team
- Cooperate closely with both account and creative teams
- Provide leadership and guidance for other team members on branding initiatives
- Lead case study development for award-winning work
- Participates in new business development
- Be an active member of the Havas strategy department, sharing insights and cultural signals that push our collective thinking
Qualifications
- Approximately 3+ years of experience at an advertising agency
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (marketing, advertising, psychology, sociology, anthropology, or journalism preferred but all backgrounds and curious minds welcomed)
- Integrated, varied experience - and ability to speak insightfully about prior campaign work
- Fluency across owned, earned, shared and paid media channels
- Experience in both brand strategy and communications strategy - you are expected to be a generalist who can dive in and help solve any strategic challenge that arises
- Quant and qual research experience, including syndicated quant (MRI/Simmons/GWI) analysis, social listening, survey design and deployment, and cultural insight mining. Qual interviewer experience a plus
- Excellent communication ability: Ability to read and interpret information from a variety of sources, such as trade journals, research reports, white papers and cross-tabulated survey data. Ability to write research reports, presentations, white papers and general business correspondence. Ability to effectively present research results to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
- Excellent reasoning ability: Ability to define problems, collect information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions based upon information furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
