You could be the seasoned Senior Strategy & Operations Manager that we’re searching for to lead our Fortune 500 Online Travel Agent (OTA) client’s award-winning email marketing program. You’ll be our client’s trusted consultant, their thought leader, and their partner in email personalization. You know how to turn innovative ideas into revenue results. You also know how to retain and expand a multi-million dollar account.

Most importantly, you have a proven track record in building authentic client relationships and smashing KPIs.

The Role:

The Senior Strategy & Operations Manager provides end-to-end relationship management and program oversight for their client. They are a subject matter expert in their client's business, identifying opportunities to strategically increase customer engagement and drive results. Able to think big picture strategy and be highly focused on operational excellence, you’ll be comfortable both thinking up ideas and implementing them via strong process management and technical capabilities. You’ll co-pilot this account with a Senior Project Manager, and you’ll report directly to our Director of Email Operations.

What you’ll do:

Develop and own close relationships to clients, key client sponsors, and stakeholders.

Act as the liaison between internal and client teams while maintaining strong partnerships between both sides.

Drive quantifiable, measurable, and winning strategies for the client’s ongoing email marketing program. Identify key data points and measurements to show the impact of our approach and strategy on the client’s business.

Ensure that the recommendations we deliver are based on our deep understanding of our client’s business and strategic objectives, and that client value is delivered through a mix of best-practice solutions, skills, capabilities, and original thinking.

Lead and present at client meetings. Get others to believe in the ideas that you present and follow that belief through to execution.

Identify business growth opportunities and develop strategic recommendations to support the growth of client relationships.

Responsible for the successful completion of campaigns within budget and timeframe. Communicate project status to both internal and external partners and manage client expectations based on timelines, budget, and scope.

Perform highly detailed tasks such as building out user stories, test plans and complex project plans.

Be a subject matter expert on email marketing trends and best practices.

Take the lead in solving problems that arise during the execution of programs with partners

Proactively identify and solve complex problems that impact the management, relationship and direction of the business

What the role requires

5+ years experience in email marketing at an agency, Email Service Provider, SaaS company, or Consultancy.

Analytical and ability to identify quantifiable trends across campaign data, as well as develop testing plans.

Experience navigating large public companies and the resourcefulness to overcome roadblocks and distractions to stay focused on successful delivery.

MBA preferred, but not required.

Experience working with household brand names in travel or financial services preferred.

Expertise and / or certification in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Journey Builder a huge plus!

A highly detail-focused and organized mindset.

Ability to “manage up”, influence and work within matrixed environment

Executive presence; strong written and oral communication, with experience developing executive-ready, high-quality deliverables

Strong critical thinking and analytical skills

Proficiency in Excel/Google Suite

New York City Residents Only: The salary range for New York City residents is $90,000 to $130,000 per year.
