The US Beverages Packers Supply Chain organization provides a demanding, fast-paced opportunity in a competitive industry, where growth equals opportunity and fun accompanies the challenge. Plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors the flow of products through the complete production cycle. Provides timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to the manufacturing floor in order to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review open sales orders to determine customer requirements ∙
  • Coordinate delivery of parts to expedite flow of material to meet production schedule
  • Purchase and expedite suppliers purchase orders if required
  • Utilize SAP ERP system to auto‐generate manufacturing work orders
  • Collects and validates daily production data
  • Release manufacturing work orders to the warehouse for kit picking
  • Coordinate between warehouse and purchasing on material shortages
  • Manages day to day to ensure inventory, paper in stock percentage, inbound logistics, and plant communication/support goals are achieved.
  • Calculates raw material order requirements
  • Schedules production lines using simulation software
  • Orders raw materials
  • Maintains raw material and finished goods inventory in FMP
  • Enters raw material receipts into SAP
  • Distributes work orders to production
  • Communicates release/spotting of rail cars to railroad
  • Prints rail car release forms and bar codes for rail car identification
  • Maintains inventory of quarantine & scrap
  • Coordinates sale of off-spec and scrap material
  • Accuracy on communicated material, capacity and resource plans
  • Minimal production downtime due to raw materials availability
  • Manage multiple tasks with varying timelines and priorities.
  • Utilize SAP to release & monitor deliveries to adjust production orders
  • Understand system transactions to resolve discrepancies.
  • Create and maintain material BOMs
  • Assist with production planning activities and cycle counts of all materials
  • Track and monitor raw/packaging material orders
  • Coordinate with production team to support schedule as required and distribute to appropriate parties based on production efficiency
  • Assist other managers with daily tasks such as:
  • Efforts to organize and maintain a neat, safe and clean environment at all times and strictly enforce this
  • Set up meetings/trainings, on site and off site as necessary
  • Manage process improvement opportunities for cost saving in the department
  • Write and distribute e-mail, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms.
  • Provide ad-hoc projects/reports as requested
  • Assist and perform other duties as assigned
  • Finished goods inventory & production planning activities including shipping of products to external customers & warehouses.
  • Ingredients and packaging materials to meet the plant operational goal (cost, volume, efficiencies, quality, safety)
  • Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Production and Processing – Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must show good judgment and decision-making abilities
  • Must have the ability to prioritize, organize and follow-through on tasks and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work without constant supervision
  • Previous experience in manufacturing is a plus
  • Understanding of lot numbering and part numbering systems
  • Understanding of SAP software system
  • Stable work history
  • In‐depth knowledge of ERP or MRP software preferred.
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years production planning experience in a related industry or BS Degree in related will substitute for experience.
  • Previous scheduling/planning experience/manufacturing a plus
