This position is part of the Configuration Management - Java Development organization. As a Technology Engineer Sr, you will be responsible for the following:
o General support operations of a large suite of applications in the non-prod/development space
o Interfacing with the development teams to help ensure all builds, deployments and testing activities are functioning as expected
o Integrating the enterprise Devops tool chain processes and procedures into the current development environment
o Migrating existing manual processes towards automation available or create new
o Interface with the DevOps enablement organization to sync up on upcoming roadmap items
o Participate in production application releases
o Continuously improve upon existing processes to keep them working efficiently and taking advantage of all tools available
o Ensure code and change quality as applications move through DEV to PROD
o Maintain existing automation within our area

Due to the nature of the position, we are seeking candidates who have the following skillsets:
o Experience with multiple infrastructure components including F5, Apache, Tomcat, RHEL/Linux
o Able to quickly adapt and learn new technologies as needs arise
o Apply their knowledge to automation and improve existing processes
o Scripting/automation expertise one or more languages - preferably Ansible and Shell scripting
o Understanding of DB technologies - preferably Oracle and mySQL
o Experience with CI/CD concepts and usage of DevOps toolsets such as Confluence, JIRA, Jenkins, GIT, Artificatory, SonarQube, Contrast or similar tools
o Experience with container based technologies; Openshift, Docker, Kubernetes
o Able to coordinate with multiple teams to accomplish goals
o Proven leader which takes ownership and helps to upskill others
o Experience with an APM system such as Dynatrace or other toolset
o Familiarity with Java, Maven and Gradle a plus

Leads in the development of the most complex new and emerging technologies and selects appropriate platforms, integrates and configures solutions. Leverages technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build and maintain technology solutions.
Develops software components and hardware for new and emerging technology projects; aligns these with business strategies and objectives.
Consults junior staff regarding complex issues and best practices.
Provides a systematic analysis on the most complex client requirements within the traceability framework and resolves any functional problems encountered.
Oversees the quality of complex project deliverables while ensuring that they are in compliance with relevant standards and processes.

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 5+ years of industry-relevant experience. Specific certifications are often required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
