Job Summary:

The Server's duties include interacting with customers, serving, answering questions, informing patrons of special menu items and keeping the dining area clean and organized. It's also important to work in harmony with the café staff and Mountainside Treatment Center clients.

Schedule: Flexible job schedule /as needed

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat guests, present menus and serve a dining room section.
• Assist clients in serving their sections as needed.
• Participate in kitchen and dining area cleaning activities.
• Assist in resolving customer complaints
• Assist in training employees in service, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Perform various financial activities such as cash handling and deposit preparation.
• Compile and balance cash receipts at the end of the day or shift.
• Attend monthly staff meetings and collaborate with other personnel about areas of improvement.
• Present bills and accept payments.
• Comply with all federal, state and accreditation regulatory requirements.

Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge and experience with Point of Sale entry systems.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as necessary.
• Awareness and sensitivity to addiction, socioeconomics and strong cultural competency.
• Strong communication skills.
• Great organization and time management skills.

Education and Qualifications

• High School diploma - required
• Food and/or guest service experience minimum 1 year - required
• Licensure/certification would be a plus but not required

Compensation:

• The base salary for the position is $13.00 to $16.00 per hour plus tips. Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
• Competitive wage plus earned tips; 401(k) with employer matching and free meals.
