Proper 21K is a high end sports bar & Restaurant serving All American classics with a gourmet twist. The space maintains the modern aesthetic and New York style of its Manhattan locations, which have best been described as Tom Ford meets Thomas Edison. The restaurant provides the best audio & visual for sports, corporate functions, nightlife and other events.

Job Title: Server

We are looking for friendly and outgoing Servers for our high volume downtown restaurant. You’ll be the face of our restaurant and responsible for our customers’ experiences. Food server responsibilities include ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus and serving food and beverages. You need to be quick on your feet and have a polite and friendly attitude. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace, we’d like to meet you. Your ultimate goal will be to provide high-quality service for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Genuinely connect and communicate with every guest in your section and every guest that you interact with (even if they aren’t in your section)
• Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order
• Effectively finesse the menu and communicate your vast knowledge and expertise about food and bar menus with ease
• Work each shift with a safety mindset. Be proactive in regards front of the house and back of the house safety(food safety, potential hazards for employees or guests)
• Continuously ensure that every guest leaves satisfied and happy with their experience. In the event of a concern or conflict, you will immediately involve a Manager to positively resolve the situation
• Answer questions or make recommendations for complementary products
• Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff

Who you Are

• You are a genuine, charming, vibrant and team-oriented individual
• You have a minimum of 1-2 years front of house restaurant experience. We will consider the right person, with the right attitude who can back-up their abilities through previous work, or involvement in teams (school, work or sports)
• You are able to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks without skipping a beat
• You pride yourself on your customer service skills, your ability to make people feel at home, your reliability and your ability to keep upbeat even during the busiest shifts
• Organized, reliable, and you pay attention to cleanliness and safety
• Responsible and trustworthy

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $80.00 per hour
