We are hiring Full and Part Time Server/Dining Room Attendants for a luxury senior community in Austin, TX!

Starting at $15.00/hr.+ DOE (hourly rate, no tips)
Days and shifts vary; Full and Part Time

We are searching for Server/Dining Room Attendants for a luxury senior community. If you are someone with exceptional hospitality skills, has a desire to serve on a team of passionate culinarians and front-of-the-house staff who believe in wholesome, nutritious, and healing foods, we are the company for you!

What you will do:

  • Provides outstanding customer experience for residents and their loved ones, as well as other visitors to the community.
  • Maintains professional appearance at all times.
  • Ensures that residents are comfortable, engaged, and catered to in the dining room areas.
  • Completes all side work assignments in-between meal periods.
  • Takes orders from residents and guests
  • Follows all service standards
  • Understands the daily menu and how food is prepared before each meal and is able to answer questions related to the menu.
  • Performs assignments after the dining room closes and ensures the rooms are ready for the next meal period.
  • Keeps dining areas clean and properly arranged for residents.
  • Engages with tours and the sales team to offer the best possible first impression.
  • Develop and maintain a good working rapport with teammates and associates in other departments to ensure that the dining experience is of the highest quality for residents and guests.
  • Follow emergency procedures and seek immediate assistance when needed.
  • Understand safety practices and procedures associated with the kitchen and dining rooms, as well as community fire plan and evacuation procedures.
  • Ensure the dining rooms are free of potential safety hazards, report necessary repairs as needed.
  • Advise supervisor and appropriate manager of any perceived changes in the physical and mental health of resident immediately.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Experience and passion in working with seniors
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Able to convey and understand information and ideas in English
  • Be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
  • Work well in stressful, high-pressure situations and be able to maintain composure and objectivity.
  • Be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by residents and guests.
  • Able to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers, and other staff members.
  • Criminal background check and drug screen required.
