STATUS: FT/Hourly/40hrs/wk

The Salvation Army In Southern Nevada is looking to fill a Service Center Coordinator position in our Pahrump Service Center. The successful candidate for this position will have a positive attitude and be able to work with people of diverse backgrounds, and be able to handle crisis/emergency services for the homeless and utilize crisis intervention.
The Service Center Coordinator will provide the coordination of operational responsibilities. These responsibilities will include insuring operating policies and procedures are followed, handling community questions and concerns, compiling of data for reports, overseeing the maintenance and condition of all properties, working with clients to develop case plans and establishing best course of action based upon availability and eligibility of resources. This person will maintain and build on current relationships with partnering agencies and field contacts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- AA degree in Business or the equivalence of at least five years’ experience in a social service setting
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, with ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds and circumstances
- Must maintain a non-judgement attitude, professional approach and boundaries with clients
- Able to handle crisis/emergency services for the homeless and to utilize crisis intervention, crowd management and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to assess at risk participants and situations
- Ability to maintain a calm demeanor in stressful situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client data
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability with a results orientation and ability to pay attention to detail.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.
- Ability to organize, delegate, motivate and set priorities.
- Must have valid NV Driver’s License with a good driving record.
- Ability to pass The Salvation Army’s Fleet Safety e-training
- Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate telephone, a desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
