Home Instead Covina, CA is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, organized and goal driven self-starter to be part of our growing care team as a Service Coordinator to join our team in our 26th year of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our community. Our office based in Covina, CA serves the communities of Azusa, Claremont, Covina, Diamond Bar, Glendora, La Verne, Pomona, San Dimas, Valinda, Walnut, West Covina, and other surrounding areas. We provide non-medical care to aging adults and people with special needs, helping them to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care, and compassion.

The Service Coordinator has responsibility to perform a variety of duties in the coordination of scheduling service for clients. The Service Coordinator is responsible for scheduling our professional caregivers to provide the highest quality service to our clients, with an emphasis on creating extraordinary relationships. The work requires an individual who is excellent at juggling multiple tasks during the day, quick-on-their feet to problem solve, remain cool under pressure, and thrive in an environment where time-sensitive demands are normal course of business for the day.

Pay: $20 to $23 based on Qualifications & Experience of the Candidate; plus, performance incentive pay

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain client and caregiver schedules with an emphasis on creating high quality matches and the development of extraordinary relationships
  • Monitor, mediate, and log all client and caregiver activity utilizing our operating system
  • Follow up with all client and caregiver issues to ensure their problems are resolved expeditiously
  • Enter and maintain accurate client and caregiver records in the operating system
  • Design, test and implement a responsive contingency plan that ensures 100% maintenance of Service Hours; responsible for capacity planning
  • Work with the Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator to address concerns regarding caregiver assignments, availability, and hours worked
  • Increase loyalty by consulting with clients and families to better meet their needs
  • Conduct Service Inquiries and Care Consultations following the consultative sales process
  • Assist with caregiver recruiting activities and hiring process as needed
  • Handle office responsibilities to allow a consistent full-time networking effort to meet the needs of the business
  • Develop and maintain On-Call schedule; Weeknight and/or weekend On-Call rotation with the other office staff
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
  • Two years’ experience using a scheduling system in a fast paced health care environment preferred
  • Two years’ experience in home care or senior-related industry preferred
  • Must be fluent in English and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and able to listen effectively (Bilingual English/Spanish, is a plus)
  • Must demonstrate effective interpersonal skills as well as sound judgment, good decision-making skills and ability to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Must have superior organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively, good work ethic, ability to work independently, set priorities, meet objectives & deadlines, and manage multiple projects & competing priorities simultaneously
  • Must have the ability to present a professional appearance, demeanor and to work as a part of a team
  • Must have superior computer skills and be proficient in Windows and Office 365; ability to quickly learn, master, and manage applicable computer and online applications; experience in a web-based scheduling system is a plus
  • Must have the ability to work evenings and weekends as required and be flexible to the demands of the business
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, reliable car, and auto insurance
  • Must be able to pass state licensing criteria, employment screening process and be insurable
  • Must live near Covina, CA within the franchise territory and authorized to work in the USA

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
