Colton RV is seeking a Service Manager, based out of our Lake Ave., Blasdell Facility. As the Service Manager you will

We need an outstanding communicator with a strong work ethic, someone who is equally comfortable greeting customers and acting as a liaison between customers and the service technicians.

Your accountabilities include:

  • Recruit, interview, hire, train, and retain service staff (advisors, foreman/dispatcher, technicians, detail, and lot)
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings with each Service Advisor to discuss status of repair orders, sales performance, and customer communication.
  • Assure proper repair-order flow and maximize productivity by overseeing Reconditioning, PDI, Warranty, and Customer Pay repair processes.
  • Accurately measure and record Technician Premise, Actual, and Billed time to coach the team to hit proper Management and Technician Efficiency targets.
  • Monitor/control all warranty activity to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Work with Director of Fixed Operations to set departmental objectives
  • Maintain daily sales and production records as prescribed by upper management
  • Review and evaluate service sales performance
  • Maintain department finances within parameters established by upper management
  • Remain current on new products and changes to existing products
  • Administer payroll for service staff in cooperation with payroll department, securing approval from service director and general manager
  • Enforce OSHA requirements, procedures and regulations
  • Conduct performance evaluations
  • Participate in operational planning
  • Maintain the facility and equipment
  • Conduct daily huddles/attend weekly manager meetings


To be successful you will need:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or 2 to 4 years of related experience and/or training
  • Service Department Sales Experience
  • Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record
  • Experience leading and developing teams
  • Prior service management experience in a fast paced environment
  • Results driven and a desire to make a positive impact
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Ability to listen and provide solutions to team members and customers.
  • Reliable and strong work ethic.
