This position is eligible for a Sign-on Bonus to be paid out after 90 days of employment with the company.

Seeking hard working and self motivated individual to fill position for full-time maintenance in an apartment community. Experience in a multi-housing setting preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities**

• Clean grounds, exterior common area buildings, amenity areas, dumpsters, and mailbox areas.
• Turnover work and preparation to vacant apartments.
• Respond to service calls and assist with planned maintenance, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, interior/exterior painting, some exterior carpentry work, salt-water pool maintenance, Heating and cooling. HVAC certification preferred.
• Contact Manager whenever unsure how to proceed with a problem or solution.
• Maintain proper care of tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Complete all assignments in a thorough, timely, and good quality manner.
• Be courteous to all residents and prospects.
• Keep uniforms clean and in good repair.
• Operate within OSHA guidelines.
• Report any emergencies to Maintenance Supervisor or Manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements**

• Ability to walk, bend, stoop, reach, climb steps, and lift up to 75 pounds.
• Use gas blower, rake, broom, shovel, weed whacker, and various small motor equipment.
• Ability to respond courteously to residents.
• Working knowledge of various types of tools and equipment.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to use ladders and scaffolds in a safe approved manner.
• Ability to communicate well.
• Ability to proceed logically when faced with a problem and know when to go for help.
• Have reliable transportation..
• Mechanical experience and aptitude
• Ability to take 24 hour on-call and carry a radio or pager.
• Ability to respond quickly to emergencies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
