SUMMARY:
Performs set-up of all CNC machine equipment. Supports the Manufacturing plant operations; organizing and providing information to assist with problem solving among team members.
- Can read/ edit G & M codes

1.
Responsible for machine set-up and editing as needed.
2.
Must be able to read CMM reports and relate it to the blueprint and make necessary offset and fixture adjustments accordingly.
3.
Provides assistance with a variety of tasks to improve efficiencies and identify areas for improvements.
4.
Provides support and direction for process monitoring.
5.
Perform forklift operation, tool pre-setting and tool maintenance as needed.
6.
Assist with resolving machine maintenance issues.
7.
Conduct Cell Leader and/or supervisor tasks when necessary.
8.
Operate various machinery including but not limited to leak test equipment, vertical and horizontal CNCs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Degree or equivalent experience in Manufacturing. Must have experience in general machining, assembly, setup and/or repair in an automotive production environment. Must be able to demonstrate basic knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and lubrication principles. A working knowledge of equipment, tools, and methods, machining, assembly processes is required. Minimum of five years working experience in related field.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Proven ability to communicate verbally and in written form effectively with co-workers, departments, management, vendors and customers.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Standing, sitting, stooping and squatting can be expected along with lifting (up to 50 lbs) or with other means transfer of tooling, parts, containers and raw materials. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral and depth perception as well as the ability to focus.
