Sexual & Gender Medicine – St. Cloud is hiring a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team. CentraCare began providing Sexual & Gender Medicine services at the St. Cloud Plaza in July of 2017. Our program features an interdisciplinary team committed to promoting wellness and human flourishing of every individual, every day – regardless of sexual orientation, relations, gender identity or gender expression. We offer an integrated approach to health care for gender diverse people as well as the larger LGBTQ community.

The Sexual & Gender Medicine Clinic is guided by the belief that people come first, and building meaningful relationships are a priority. As a provider, you will partner with patients in a shared decision-making model of care that eliminates barriers and gatekeeping.

Common services provided at the clinic include:

• Feminizing hormones
• Masculinizing hormones
• Routine medical and mental health care
• Sexual health care
• Additional services

The Sexual & Gender Medicine Clinic is located at the CentraCare Health Plaza only minutes from the St. Cloud Hospital. The Plaza is the largest outpatient clinic building in CentraCare Health at 450,000 square feet, housing a variety of specialty and primary care clinics, full imaging, laboratory and pharmacy services, a gift shop and bistro, and even a walking path to enjoy the outdoors and promote health and wellness.

This is a shared FTE position between the Sexual & Gender Medicine Clinic and either Family Medicine OR Urgent Care.

Schedule:

• .75+ FTE (.45 allocated to Sexual & Gender Medicine and .30+ allocated to Family Medicine OR Urgent Care)
• Current schedule Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning at Sexual & Gender Clinic, Wednesday afternoon and Thursday at Family Medicine Clinic; future schedule TBD.
• No call responsibilities.

Some responsibilities of the FTE associated with the Family Medicine or Urgent Care portion of this practice include:

• Providing preventative care to adults and children, including routine checkups, health risk assessments, immunization and screening tests
• Diagnosis and treat short-term and long-term illness
• Chronic disease management, often coordinating care provided by other subspecialists
• Evaluating, implementing and managing patient treatment based on assessments of their needs
• Reviewing lab results and planning the course of action according to the results
• Educating patients on health and wellness, inclusive of personalized counseling on maintaining a healthy lifestyle
• Managing acute needs such as abdominal pain, injury evaluation, suturing, and splinting.

To be considered for our position you would need to:

• Have a current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license and be eligible for Minnesota licensure

New graduates will be considered for the Sexual Gender and Urgent Care portions of the position. If the position is paired with Family Medicine, provider experience in that field will be required. Overall preference will be given to candidates that have experience in -

• Transgender Medicine
• Providing care to the LGBTQ community
• Family Medicine
• Internal Medicine
• Urgent Care/Convenience Care
• Team based model of care

In addition, all applicants must have a current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider card and Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration number prior to receiving clinical privileges.
