TITLE: Shipping and Receiving Clerk
LOCATION: Shipping and Receiving Dept. - Mills River
Schedule: Monday - Friday 12pm - 8pm
JOB SUMMARY: The ideal candidate for this position will possess the skills and abilities to efficiently handle all shipping and receiving functions.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
All duties and requirements are essential job functions
· Process all incoming and outgoing material
· Ensure Customer satisfaction in the area of shipping and receiving
· Operate forklift safety while moving material and loading/unloading trucks
· Accurately process all shipping paperwork
· Scheduling of trucks based on customer and production needs
· Adhere to all safety rules
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
· 1 year prior forklift operation in manufacturing environment
· High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred.
· Prior use of Vantage or similar inventory control software preferred
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
· Must possess the ability to use a computer and maneuver through Microsoft Windows
· Must be able to communicate effectively to convey information to other parties
· Must be detail oriented
· Must be able to pass forklift certification process
PHYSICAL/SENSORY/COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS
Team member must be able to stand, bend, stoop, crouch, walk, and freely use hands and arms to feel, touch, reach and grasp parts
· Frequently required to talk or hear
· Regularly lifts and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
· Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for several hours at a time. Repetitive arm movement is also required to perform this job. The employee is required to wear personal protective equipment due to working with and around flammables and other chemicals. Due to noise levels this job requires the employee to wear hearing protection in designated areas. This area is heated in cold weather conditions, however, not air conditioned for hot weather. Therefore, the employee is subjected to heat conditions as it relates to outside temperatures. This job requires the employee to move in and around manufacturing lines.
