POSITION TITLE:
PACKER
The person in this position must be able to stand for extended periods of time, lift upwards of 40 lbs. on a constant basis, utilize a pallet jack to transport goods to and from loading areas, also be able to accurately pack, label boxes, wrap boxes and palletize boxes. Current Shift Availability:
1st Shift: Monday - Thursday 5:00AM - 3:30PM
Starting rate:
$16.00/hour
This is a full time, 40 hour per week position with full benefits offered (i.e. Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k Match, EAP and more).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
:
- Follow all applicable sop’s (standard operating procedures).
- obtains and records accurate information of goods to be shipped (counting)
- Pack goods according to job ticket
- Mark cartons with names, quantity, job number date and initials
- Write up delivery receipts
- Knowledge of ups shipments
- Keep shipping log book up-to-date
- Make sure delivery receipts are signed properly
- Housekeeping
- To learn and utilize computer shipping program
- Ability to load/unload trucks with appropriate equipment (pallet jacks/power pallet jacks)
JOB REQUIREMENTS

1. Math skills

3. Ability to lift 70 lbs. (regularly lifting and moving 40+ lbs.)
4. Literate
5. Ability to follow directions
6. Must be able to use calculator
