SITE ADMINISTRATOR

Northern Star Resources Limited (ASX: NST) is a global-scale Australian gold producer with Tier-1 world-class projects located in highly prospective and low sovereign risk regions of Australia and North America. Northern Star's gold mines are all world-class, low-cost, high-grade gold mines, which together have produced over 20 million ounces to date. This large inventory means a further 10 years of mine life visibility ensuring Northern Star has a long future based on its Tier-1 operations of Kalgoorlie, Jundee and Pogo. Since acquiring these operations, Northern Star has been able to significantly extend the mine life and grow the resource base of all of our mines by investing heavily in near-mine and in-mine exploration.

We currently have an exciting opportunity at our Pogo operation for motivated Site Administrator on an 8/6 work schedule.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Site Administrator reports to the Department Manager or delegate, and the primary role is to provide clerical and administrative support to the Site Management Team and other personnel as required, as it relates to functional and operational office activities. This position may require work at other sites, offices, and locations including, but not limited to Fairbanks and Pogo mine.

  • Provide general clerical and administrative service to site and the management team.
  • Process and manage travel and accommodation bookings for employees, contractors and onsite visitors.
  • Ensure all site access requirements are adhered to, and the maintenance of relevant records, including evacuation reports.
  • Ensure employee records are maintained to comply with permit/legislative requirements.
  • Keep accurate daily contractor records. Update, audit and report accurate data to and from INX.
  • Manage and coordinate onsite meetings, events.
  • Maintain and improve the data management systems.
  • Liaise with HR/Payroll Department for the collation and submission of payroll information.
  • Verify and process payment requests and back charges for vendors, contractors & utilities.
  • Provide general onsite inductions as required.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Previous administration experience in the resources sector, preferably on a remote site.
  • A good understanding of office processes, systems and equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with document editing (grammar, formatting) and graphics production (visual aids, posters, notices)
  • Advanced computer literacy Microsoft Office, database systems including INX, Pronto etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain or exceed best industry practice.
  • Knowledge of statutory safety and environmental requirements relevant to mine site operations.
  • Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices.
  • Ability to identify, address and overcome challenges and roadblocks to complete tasks.
  • Ability to coordinate, share, and complete tasks, responsibilities with other onsite groups to efficiently achieve objectives.

WORK SCHEDULE & ENVIRONMENT

This role will work a rotational 8/6 schedule for up to 12hrs per day at a remote campsite. Extreme conditions, including but not limited to extreme and changing weather conditions, dust, mud, varying levels of noise, varying degrees of light and dark, in and around artificial light and in a confined work area.

Employees are required to stay on site at the company provided camp during the work rotation. Camp facilities provide dining service, games room, exercise & weight room, sauna, and accommodation rooms. Dormitory rooms have a land line phone, internet & cable tv programs. Cell service is available when using Wi-Fi. The Company provides a bus service to and from Fairbanks, Delta Junction and Tok, Alaska.
