POSITION DETAILS:

Under the direction of the Program Manager and Early Learning Assistant Manager from MCCSC's "Office of Early Learning and Out of School Programs", this position will:

• Serve as the onsite coordinator in the daily operations of the Early Learning Center.
• Ensure that state-required child care licensing regulations and PATHS to Quality program requirements are being followed in the center at all times.
• Communicate with staff and families in a professional manner.
• Manage the daily work schedule and time-off requests.
• Mentor classroom teachers in developmentally-appropriate practice.
• Ensure staff are meeting the required hours of professional development per year.
• Perform other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have one of the following:

• Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education & 3 years of experience
• BA or BS degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education
• BA or BS degree with 15 credit hours of child development courses or a CDA

Other qualifications:

• Previous experience in a childcare setting
• Previous experience in staff management, scheduling, childcare enrollment, and licensing regulations
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to pass a drug screen, TB test, and criminal background check
• Must be willing to accept supervision to improve work performance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.46 per hour
