Job description
High school or college student or graduate of either
Minimum 16 years of age
Current American Red Cross CPR and First Aid certificate
Complete mandatory facility training and testing
Excellent physical condition and promote a healthy, fit lifestyle through appearance and actions
EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience in some phase of aquatic operations preferred
Possess above standard aquatics ability
Perform/demonstrate the ability to perform First aid and CPR
KNOWLEDGE/DUTIES:
Direct people in a courteous manner and have them follow your direction
Always have safety in mind while inside the park and at post
Work with swimmers/customers of all ages and communicate accordingly
Maintain discipline, analyze questions asked by patrons, give thoughtful answers and make decisions based on all circumstances
Carry out all duties asked by Head Lifeguard, Seasonal Manager and Water Park Director
General working knowledge of the pool, slides and features within the park
Knowledge of principles and practices of facility rules, policies and procedures
Knowledge of first aid and CPR and willing and able to perform said action
Set example of how others should act around the pool, on the slides and on park grounds
Work together with the entire staff ensuring the park is cleaned, maintained and kept in good repair at all times
