About The Position

East West is looking for an experienced Social Media Content Creator + Video Editor to join our Charleston, SC team! This role requires candidates to be fluent in Tik Tok and Instagram Reels, have strong video editing, Photoshop, and Illustrator capabilities, and have an interest in being a part of a creative industry - custom jewelry design! A strong candidate for this position would have exceptional collaboration skills, while still being confident working independently, and would be a strong project executor and motivated self starter. If you are a step ahead of social media trends and fluent in the platforms above, then this position may be a great fit for you! This role is flexible and can be part-time, full-time, or contracted but candidates must be based in Charleston, SC. About Us

East West Gem Co. is an e-commerce and by-appointment custom jewelry company with showroom locations in Charleston, Orange County, and Miami. We are a female led and operated, growing company and this role takes place at our Charleston, SC head quarters. At East West, we believe in transparent and open communication within our team and with our clients. We're looking to build on our team of self-starters, who are motivated by an environment that fosters growth and rejects micro-management. We are a fashion forward atmosphere, living in the social media space, where Instagram is our habitat.

At East West, we lead with and truly believe in work-life balance and stick to a schedule of 8:30-5pm, 5 days per week. For client facing roles, we communicate with clients strictly via email and as-needed zoom calls. There is also potential opportunity to travel to our locations in Miami, FL and Orange County, CA for projects.

Job Responsibilities

- Create original content for TikTok and Instagram Reels

- Identify social media trends and seek new ideas for projects

- Utilize our range of created imagery and video content to create content assets for social media platforms as needed

- Knowledge and use of industry software including video editing software, Photoshop, and Illustrator

- Collaborate with team to create original content and source material for projects

- Collaborate with founder on initiatives and work independently to produce new initiatives and execute on discussed projects
