The Social Media & Digital Marketing Manager serves as an advisor, advocate, and functional specialist supporting digital media needs for 25 long-term care facilities (skilled nursing, assisted living) across a midwestern multi-state footprint. The Social Media & Digital Marketing Manager fulfills a wide variety of essential functions to engage followers, develop a recognized and respected brand, build reputation, and promote services. The Social Media & Digital Marketing Manager presents with creativity and enthusiasm to align media functions with the organization's business goal.

The Social Media & Digital Marketing Manager fulfills tasks including but not limited to creating/posting content for all social media channels including but not limited to Facebook, LinkedIn, and/or other sites; prepares digital graphics for online or print presentation; manages the organization's website utilizing WordPress, drafts and proofreads copy representing facility brands, maintains/secures control over Google listings, and works collaboratively with vendors to create video and/or photographic content promoting facilities by facilitating shoot arrangements, overseeing project management, and providing editing feedback on behalf of the organization. He/she will work directly with facility leaders to generate ideas for content and responses to followers/comments who share on media platforms. The Social Media & Digital Marketing Manger may also be requested to create professional presentations using MS PowerPoint or Prezi to support the organization.

The Social Media & Digital Marketing Manager is empowered to work independently while serving as the primary contact for all digital media needs for each location within the assigned region. The Social Media & Digital Marketing Manager is the primary driving force of the organization's online presence. This position reports to the VP of Marketing.

Travel may be required up to 15% of work time on an intermittent schedule. This is an office-based role.

Social Media & Digital Marketing Manager Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • A bachelor’s degree in applicable area of study including but not limited to Marketing, Design, Public Relations, or other is desired.
  • Two to Five five years of experience as lead in creation of digital content or promotions is desired.
  • Advanced proficiency in design programs is required such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator; other applicable programs may apply including InDesign, FrameMaker, Dreamweaver, HTML. HTML 5, SEO, and CSS.

  • Proficiency in SEO and Google Analytics is a plus.
  • Experience developing and designing layout communications such as presentations, event support materials, brochures, and other print media is desired; Portfolio of digital designs and graphics is a plus.

  • Experience using social media outlets for community building, crisis response, reputation management, and talent acquisition branding.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, focusing on editing and proofreading coupled with a high attention to detail.

  • Must be able to organize work to support frequent narrow project timelines to fulfill deadlines.
