Overview: General Qualifications:
The Social Media Marketing Coordinator is a Ministerial position. Ministerial staff render their work, stewardship, relationships and behavior as evidence of being followers of Jesus Christ while embracing and affirming Mount Hermon Association, Inc.’s (“MHA”) Christian mission, vision, beliefs, culture code and standards of conduct. They are responsible for defining, cultivating and leading MHA’s Christian community, conference programs and retreats. All staff are expected to join gatherings, which includes prayer, worship, and Bible-centered teaching.
Position Objective:
The Social Media Marketing Coordinator will administer MHA’s social media marketing by assisting in the production of social media campaigns, including but not limited to - photography, and videography, copy writing, and graphic design at Mount Hermon in a manner consistent with MHA’s mission, vision and values.

Key Job Accountabilities*:
- Manage social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities.
- Advocate for MHA in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate.
- Monitor and create visual assets for social media, including: Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, and Pinterest.
- Catalog and organize high quality photos and document the story of camp and events. Track and analyze data trends to give insight for marketing strategy.
- Demonstrate ability to map out a comprehensive social media marketing plan and drive strategies that are proven by testing and metrics.
- Report data analytics and trends to Marketing Department.
- General photography, videography, copy writing, and graphic design duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Analyze campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising social media, content marketing, SEO and social advertising campaigns.
- Analyze, review, monitor best practices and report about campaign effectiveness utilizing various benchmarks for measuring the impact of MHA’s social media campaigns.
- May participate in creative efforts including - designing, writing, building, shooting or otherwise contributing as needed to accomplish ministry objectives.
- Be available for other duties as assigned, such as interdepartmental committees or short-term task forces, when approved by supervisor.

Qualifications: Education/Certifications/Licenses:
- College graduate with coursework in social media, photography, marketing, communications or a related field.
Work* Experience*:
- Experience sourcing and managing content and development and publishing.
- Experience working with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, Pinterest) Mac OS, Adobe Lightroom, is required.
- Ability to present a thorough portfolio of work in desired area, and documented immersion in social media.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and video format.
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
- The ability to acclimate quickly to different environments and different groups.
- Superior time management.
- Ability to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary. (e.g.: content development, creating and editing content, and online reputation management).
- Good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly.
- Working knowledge of principles of SEO including keyword research and Google Analytics.
- Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, especially Lightroom and Photoshop, with a familiarity of Indesign and Illustrator.
- Familiarity with Canon camera products and gear.
Physical Demands:
The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid and dry/arid conditions. Requires sitting or standing for at least 30 minutes straight, squatting, stooping, twisting, and the ability to lift/carry 50 lbs.

- Must have a clean driving record of at least three years, and agree to and comply with MHA’s employee driving guidelines for MHA-owned vehicles and use of personal vehicles for business purposes.
- Adherence to the basic principles as expressed in MHA’s mission, vision, culture code and standards of conduct.
- Adherence to company dress code and professional standards for personal grooming and appearance.
- May be requested to work overtime and weekends for program events.
- Satisfactory completion of background investigation, or valid work permit, as well as ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
