Team WPP for Audible
Following the kick-off of an exciting new engagement, Team WPP is thrilled to partner with Audible in their mission of igniting the world's imagination through premium audio storytelling. To make that possible, Team WPP have been appointed to bring the Audible mission to life through the most dynamic channel of all – social. We will be supporting their social media transformation across ten markets (in the Americas, EU, and APAC) and over 30+ channels (incl. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok). Through social, Audible aims to create a larger and more inspired community of fans across the globe.
The role
The Social Platform Strategist will play a critical role in the strategy team for Audible. You will act as the platform expert - harnessing your detailed knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok to inform how the Audible brand should behave on those platforms.
You will closely monitor culture on those platforms, be the first to know about any platform updates, and be obsessed with how brands can meaningfully build and engage with communities online.
You will work closely with the Data Strategist and the Strategy Director to take these insights and use them to inform how Audible creatively engages on social platforms globally in order to transform perceptions of the brand and build its business.
**This is a hybrid opportunity with in-office working capability. Our offices are currently open. We are ideally seeking candidates open to working in-office on days of the week and hours that work best for them.**
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate is a lover of brands, culture, people and creativity. They have a passion for harnessing the power of data to guide brave ideas. They are a natural collaborator and care as much about the rest of the team's work as their own craft.
- They have a burning curiosity to experiment, play, and come up with new ways of doing things, and will be just as obsessed with the creative output as they are with the analytical output.
- They are obsessed with social media and deeply familiar with all the major platforms
- They have demonstrated experience, or able to demonstrate, an ability to craft a strategy for how a brand should engage specifically in social media in order to build its brand/business
- The ideal candidate will have 1-2+ years of experience working in roles that focus on social strategy
Responsibilities:
- Daily monitoring of social media activity across key platforms and 10 markets
- Detailed understanding of platforms and best practices that can be used as part of the strategic and creative process
- Collaboration with Data Strategist and Strategy director to develop social strategy for monthly posts, major title release and how Audible should engage in culture through social

In New York City, the base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $70,000 to $140,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility, and qualifications.
