We are currently seeking an experienced Software Business Analyst to join our Software Solutions team in one of our many locations or your home office. We are searching for highly motivated candidates with experience leading and collaborating with teams to implement and apply new information technologies both for Becht and for our clients.

What you'll do
As a Software Business Analyst, you will work directly with clients, stakeholders, and the product owners to analyze, define and document cloud-based solution requirements. You will facilitate the definition of scope, contribute to, and validate design, and accelerate implementation decisions. Working with the development team you will participant in sprints. You will coordinate the QA and deployment teams to drive successful project execution and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• You will work with product owners to define and document requirements for software solutions, as well as write user stories, acceptance criteria, feature description decks, user guides, and process flows. You will collaborate with UX to design and develop wireframes and prototypes.
• You will conduct brainstorming sessions to gain insights into end user and customer needs.
• You will lead product feature prioritization discussions, curate product backlogs, and maintain the product roadmap document.
• You will have the opportunity to define the Business Analyst work process within the team.
• You will have the opportunity to expand your skillset to include project management on small to medium sized projects.
• You will learn business processes and workflows specific to the products under development leveraging your prior industry experiences.
• You will engage business owners and the organization’s strategic leadership to respond to requests for new projects and/or enhancements. You will collaborate to create a project business case for evaluation.
• You will validate Test Plans, Test Scripts and all other work and activities related to Quality Assurance of the Products.
• You will partner with the Product Owners, the implementation team, and clients to plan and execute User Acceptance Testing.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications.
• 5+ years of experience working in supporting multiple software projects in various IT roles.
• 3+ years working in the Energy sector.
• 3+ years of Business Analyst or System Analysis experience in an agile environment.
• In-depth knowledge of software development lifecycles including Agile product management, development, and testing.
• Exceptional written and verbal communications, organization, analytical, planning and leadership skills.
• Strong collaboration and facilitation skills.
• Experience executing on simultaneous projects with multi-functional teams
• A desire to work in a diverse, multi-cultural, high-energy, entrepreneurial environment.
