- 7+ years of experience working directly within engineering teams
- Experience partnering with product OR program management teams
- 3+ years of people management experience, managing engineers
- 3+ years of experience architecting and designing (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
8+ years industry experience managing multiple software engineering teams building scalable, distributed applications- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
- Software development background including design patterns, data structures, test driven development
- Software development experience in building web services and highly scalable applications
- Managed a team of 8+ engineers

- Responsible for the overall development life cycle of the solution to manage complex projects with significant bottom line impact.
- Work with product managers and scientists in developing a strategy and road map to provide compelling capabilities for Healthcare products.
- Work closely with senior engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development. Fully and completely understand system interdependencies and limitations. Possess expert knowledge in performance, scalability, enterprise system architecture, and engineering best practices.
- Instill best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules. Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions.
- Project management - prioritization, planning of projects and features, Stakeholder management and tracking of external commitments
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions.
