The Mission Support Group focuses on solutions for the toughest problems in defense, intelligence, and homeland security missions. Job Description/Requirements
The position is based in Springfield, VA and is flexible with the ability to support some remote work. Hybrid schedule will vary based on programs needs and security requirements

ENSCO, Inc., is seeking a Software Engineer to be part of a dynamic team, working on mission critical programs in support of national security objectives. Candidates should be versed in software development standards, processes, and methodologies. Individual must work independently on tasks but collaboratively with other engineers, scientist, leads, other divisions, to design, implement, test, and deploy solutions for complex customer problems. As a Software Engineer you will have a rewarding opportunity to grow into a Lead role to mentor junior engineers and lead a small team. Tasks will include develop customized applications for the latest smartphone for mission critical applications and implementation of the latest AI/ML algorithms on low-power platforms and mobile devices. This is an exciting opportunity to work on leading-edge programs to solve real-world problems.

Qualifications Required (Skills)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development/engineering
  • Development and integration in languages such as C#, C/C++, JAVA, TypeScript, and Python
  • Experience in developing/delivering quality software using object-oriented languages for different OS Architectures (Windows, Linux, mobile and embedded devices)
  • Experience in designing and executing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline
  • Experience in working/interacting with different types of engineers (ME, EE, SW, Analyst) daily to develop end-to-end products
  • Strong understanding and practical application in CM and versioning
  • Experience in working under DFARS
  • Ability and desire to grow into a Lead Software Engineer role
  • Must be comfortable with conducting oral presentations
  • Must have experience working with a team of multiple discipline developers
  • Must have history of successfully delivering production level software
  • AN ACTIVE SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, FOR WHICH YOU MUST BE A US CITIZEN

Qualifications Desired

  • Experience in automated builds tools such as Gitlab, Bamboo, Jenkins
  • Worked on Agile development teams (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Experience in developing real-time signal processing algorithms
  • Experience full stack developer
  • Experience in Atlassian products such as JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, Fisheye/Crucible
  • Understand Containers and Kubernetes
  • Use of and understands when/where/how to use VMs
  • Worked with varying types of OS architecture and the integration of efforts across them
  • Worked in a sensor development environment
  • TOP SECRET Clearance
