About the Job:As the Software Engineer , you will support the I/T organization for custom software solutions used internally by the LANDAUER business and externally by our customers. In this role, you will be part of an I/T team that supports our manufacturing, shipping and lab areas.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop and implement .NET Windows and Web applications working within a team environment
Produce clean efficient code
Provide technical expertise to re-engineer existing legacy applications to new tech stack
Create test plans
Participate in technical design of new and existing systems
Interact with business users to obtain application requirements.
Qualifications:
BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or equivalent with programming experience
5+ years of experience developing VB.Net and/or C# applications
Proficiency in SQL Server including creating Data models, querying data using stored procedures, views, SSIS and entity framework
Understanding of MVC Libraries, WCF and muti-tier architecture
Experience working across UI (Knowledge React is a plus), service layers, and backend technologies to create server-driven native and web-based solutions. In-depth knowledge of web-service/Micro Services/data-driven application architecture
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in developing applications that interface with equipment or machinery that utilize a PLC framework
Experience with Confluence and Jira
Experience in building and deploying applications utilizing Team City and Octopus
