Solidworks Designer Responsibilities
- Make sure a product can be made reliably and will perform consistently in specified operating environments.
- Perform daily operations of technical design and engineering along with problem solving while leading a team of engineers and working alongside project management
- Producing details of specifications and standard operating procedures
- Design thinking for product inventions and enhancements
- Knowing and applying current industry standards and information
Solidworks Designer Qualifications
- Advanced skills using company software (SolidWorks)
- Extensive experience mechatronics/mechanical systems including structural analysis, FEA, Allowable Stress Design/Ultimate Stress Design
- Proficiency with 3D CAD Tools (SolidWorks)
- 10+ years of experience
- Demonstrated application of innovative solutions to complex problems that arise within the design, development, and production phases
- Strong written, verbal and communication skills including experience presenting at design reviews and customer/stakeholder briefings
- Exceptional skills in multiple forms of analysis and how it affects a project
- Demonstrated ability to balance multiple factors in a design such as, client desires, technical needs, safety, practicalities, and internal standards
- Preferred knowledge of control systems
- Preferred expereince with ISO 12100 machinery safety standards
