Cognosante is growing our Solutions Team and requires a Solutions Architect to drive innovation, deliver comprehensive solutions, lead with creative thinking, solve complex challenges, and ensure results for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clear, compliant, cogent, and compelling solutions for strategic bids in the proposal pipeline
- Demonstrate progress in getting ahead of bids through proactive work with customers/teaming partners, preparation of Gate 3 solution components, and successful completion of Gate 3 reviews
- Complete and author technical sections for RFP/RFI/RFQ responses
- Develop and promote best practices for solutions architecture, including support for the SA Community of Practice (CoP)
- Design, develop, and use repeatable processes and artifacts, such as technology capability briefs (e.g., IT Service Management), and Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs)
- Design, develop, and deliver cost modeling using a variety of tools and techniques to highlight and mitigate risks so that leadership can make informed decisions during Price-To-Win analysis
- Provide improved and transparent support for Bases of Estimates (BOEs) and “toggle-able” cost models that facilitate iteration and analysis driven by bid strategy
- Build up archives of strong Solution Architecture artifacts for reuse and re-purposing where relevant and appropriate for new bids in the pipeline
- Assess and recommend preferred solutions, tools, and components that complement Cognosante’s targeted service market. Identify and execute activities to help Cognosante develop a portfolio of product/service/solution capabilities that give us competitive differentiators
- Assess and recommend preferred vendors, products, and teammates to leverage partner investments in technology that support our Systems Integration targets
- Determine specifications and drive design, development, and implementation for proofs-of-concept (POCs) and prototypes that demonstrate Cognosante and Cognosante Team capabilities
- Assist delivery mobilization with service delivery/operation teams upon contract award regarding proposed solution and support transition activities as relevant
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electrical Engineering, or in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years’ experience in providing growth/pre-sales solutions support including supporting request for proposals (RFP) and request for information (RFI)
- 5+ years’ hands on work experience designing, executing, and supporting technology solutions in one or more technology domains: Software Development, Systems Engineering, Enterprise Cloud, Integration and Interoperability, or Data Science.
- Proven and demonstrated experience architecting, leading development, and delivering to market, one or more enterprise or consumer centric software solutions. Programming experience with at least one language such as Java, Python, or C++ including object-oriented design and development
- Experience architecting/operating cloud solutions built on AWS/Azure, or any other Cloud Service Providers (e.g., Google)
- Familiarity with common enterprise frameworks such as DevSecOps, ITIL, Open-Source Frameworks, TOGAF etc
- Excellent communication, written, and presentation skills

- Demonstrated understanding of cloud technologies and hybrid solutions that interface with on-premises systems
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
- Certifications in applicable technology
