Position Description:

The Solution Architect is responsible for complex system to system integration workflow design, becoming a critical point of contact for customer onboardings, and designing/configuring data orchestration and translation processes on Redwood’s proprietary integration platform, RedwoodConnect. Responsibilities may also include documenting business requirements, designing internal and customer-facing process maps, and creating UML diagrams. The successful solution architect can translate complex technical visions into streamlined, supportable, and scalable designs to be implemented that satisfy customer and Redwood goals and requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Create "to-be" business process integration designs that meet customer requirements on Redwood’s proprietary integration platform, RedwoodConnect
  • Work with the customer manager to manage delivery of solutions on time and within budget according to all business requirements identified for the engagement
  • Perform solution design, including directing other team members and identification of mitigation strategies for engagement related issues
  • Work independently to define scope and implement smaller solutions for customers
  • Articulating best-practices with internal and external stakeholders; pulling from existing customers and experiences to support optimization of the chosen solution
  • Owns technical and functional requirements that must be clearly documented, are comprehensive, and easily trackable
  • Involved in a multitude of simultaneous scoped initiatives from tactical to enterprise-wide, with varying levels of technical depth
  • Support operational and technical solution design activities around new sales and existing customer growth
  • Assume a role as a customer point of contact and business analyst during customer engagements, including some on-site design, development, and deployment
  • Lead and/or assist account transition efforts to Support and Customer Success teams after onboarding or engagement go-live
  • Design and implement data-centric solutions including database or data model design, integration architecture, TMS workflow design, and/or operational or financial best-practices
  • Communicate & coordinate integration task statuses/needs internally and externally
  • Perform unstructured and structured data transformations with formats like XML, JSON, CSV, TXT, EDI, and other basic data types
  • Develop functional and technical specifications and execute different types of testing, including unit testing, functional testing, integrated testing and UAT
  • Create and update reusable functional and technical solutions within RedwoodConnect platform
  • Contribute and lead creation of internal and external execution and solution playbooks

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years technology experience with one or more of the following:
    • B2B Integration Solution Analysis, Design, Development, and Testing
    • System Administration, Maintenance, and/or Development for any Supply Chain-centric System
    • Advanced analytics and database interaction (database administration experience not required)
  • 2+ years of direct involvement in the Transportation, Logistics, and / or Supply Chain Industries
  • Highly proficient in data integration methodologies; experience with data translation tools a strong plus
  • Experience with systems integration technologies and techniques such as XSD schemas, XSLT transformations and process orchestrations
  • SQL/MySQL or NoSQL experience a plus
  • Basic Knowledge of RAML or YAML is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, industrial engineering, computer science or related field preferred
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing needs/timelines without loss of momentum
  • Proven presentation or training experience
  • Comfort using and learning new technology
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
