BASIC FUNCTION

Primary Responsibility: The Solutions Sales Architect (SSA) is responsible for developing the continued development of opportunities by providing pre-sales design, development, assessment, and engineering support. This will include design, survey information, customer documentation, statement of work, collaboration, and project management. The SSA will work with sales team to maintain relationships, expand/upgrade equipment/system usage, and take orders from existing customers and secure new customers by calling or visiting customers and prospects. Assist in meeting or exceeding projected dollar volumes in terms of sales and profitability, as well as meeting activity requirements. Do appropriate planning and paperwork in support of sales function.

Assist in quote prices, delivery dates and payment terms and tries to persuade customer/prospect to buy, using knowledge of company products and services.

Perform project management as described by company process.

Communicates with Sales and Service to ensure that all aspects of the opportunity are clearly understood. Update solution and strategic technical plan for the account.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma, some college preferred.
  • Friendly, persuasive telephone manner.
  • Industry certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect) a plus.
  • Ability to read, write and understand English well.
  • Proficiency in Spanish also a plus.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

A minimum of one (1) to two (2) years sales or pre-sales experience. SSA requires 2-3 years of experience and performs at an increased productivity rate based on sales team activities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot methodically and efficiently.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions, occasionally in urgent situations.
  • Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT


  • Work in areas which require attention to detail in a varied environment.
  • General office environment. May spend long hours sitting or standing.
  • Some physical effort is required which may involve bending, reaching, stretching, or similar activities as well as lifting or moving items weighing up to 60 pounds
