Qualifications

2-years work experience as Sous Chef required.

The position requires the ability to communicate well with team members and vendor partners. In addition, the position requires the following:

  • Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management
  • Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on creativity and imagination for new dishes
  • Good organizational and planning skills
  • Creative solutions oriented
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining a positive mindset
  • Brand awareness and consistency
  • Works well under pressure and can receive constructive feedback to make necessary alterations to meet the company’s goals and objectives
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of current industry trends

Responsibilities

  • Order and properly receive products from vendors while maintaining an importance on quality
  • Hold staff accountable for cleanliness and organization
  • Write prep lists for staff for appropriate volume while ensuring quality and minimizing waste
  • Manage food cost through proper ordering and portion control
  • Ensure food goes out to guests in a timely manner while maintaining attention to detail focused on product quality and consistency
  • Manage labor throughout the shift ensuring proper staffing levels for restaurant volume
  • Maintain and demonstrate high morale
  • Utilize management software such as: Compeat, Aloha, TripleSeat, and Hotschedules

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $42,000.00 per year
