Mount Angel Towers is looking for a full-time Sous Chef to join our dedicated team! Mount Angel Towers strives to provide nutritious meals created from fresh ingredients and will give you the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills.

The goal of the Sous Chef is to prepare and serve consistently excellent cuisine and an outstanding overall dining experience so that that residents and staff eagerly look forward to eating meals at the Towers.

To accomplish the goal, this role does the following:

  • Assist with menu planning and execution, including special events
  • Ensure quality standards with food presentation and portion control
  • Provide hands-on guidance with junior staff, including on the line
  • Supervise staff, assist with training, discipline and scheduling
  • Inspect equipment to ensure they are clean, sanitary and in good working order.
  • Follow all rules regarding kitchen and food safety, including documentation
  • Collaborate with Executive Chef on supply ordering and receiving
  • Escalate all issues including staffing or resident appropriately and timely

Mount Angel Towers has been owned and operated by a single family for over 40 years. We are comprised of 186 Independent Living and 29 Assisted Living apartments. Located minutes away from Mt. Angel and Silverton, we have over 10 acres of landscaped grounds, making us the perfect place for serene, country retirement. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
