Location: Based in Colorado either based in Westminster, CO or Alamosa, CO with approximately 50% travel within Colorado and to Idaho, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas.

Immediate Supervisor: Director of Strategic Operations

Salary: $20-21/hour at full time ($41,635.50-43,767.50/year)

General Description:

CRHDC has recently awarded a USDA grant to provide relief payments for food and meat packing plant workers that experienced COVID-19 related expenses, this position will work directly under that grant. We are looking for a Bi-Lingual Project Assistant to work with the Director of Strategic Operations and the Project Coordinator to implement the grant. CRDHC is looking for someone passionate about equity for migrant farm workers with an eye for detail, and ability to work directly with farm workers and meat packing plant workers to collect their documents and process their files in order to issue $600 payments. The Project Coordinator works with clients in a compassionate manner, establishes strong rapport with the community, and upholds the compliance and integrity of the program.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with outreach efforts (English and Spanish) to promote program
  • Work with the Director of Strategic Operations and Project Coordinator on grant deliverables and success
  • Work directly with farm and meat packing workers to process files for payments
  • Comply with federal grant requirements and CRHDC policies
  • Provide services in both Spanish and English
  • Uphold the mission, vision, and values of CRHDC
  • Visit farms and meat packing plants to work directly with beneficiaries to collect documents and submit payment requests
  • Travel approximately 50% of time to meet with beneficiaries and work with partnering organizations

Experience and Qualifications:

Required:

  • Must be based in Colorado either near Westminster, CO or Alamosa, CO
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Ability to communicate in writing and verbally in both Spanish and English
  • Proven ability to develop strong rapport with beneficiaries
  • Direct client management experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office experience
  • Database input experience
  • Proven history of following compliance in processing financial assistance required
  • Attention to detail
  • Proven record of clear organized worked
  • Ability to review sensitive client information and respect privacy
  • Passion and compassion for working with migrant farm workers

Preferred:

· Previous experience working with farm and food processing workers
