Job Description:
Organizational Development Specialist

Organizational development—Teams/Units/Locations
  • Apply and/or develop methods of measuring manager, employee, and team performance, potential, and development needs that align with organizational goals.
  • Support the analysis of performance gaps at a team, leader, or site level; plan for future improvement in human performance; design and develop solutions to close performance gaps.
  • Facilitate communication among employees and management; may coach managers/employees on interpersonal concerns as requested, under supervision of a senior manager/coach.
  • Support the design and facilitation of Organizational Development assessments and interventions to improve working groups’ effectiveness and performance to Microchip’s Guiding Values.
  • Support, evaluate, and improve Learning and Organizational Development processes and systems, including Talent Development/HR resources and communications.
  • Conduct needs assessments and analysis for Learning and Development to plan offerings that improve employee performance and sustain Microchip’s culture while addressing current and future business priorities.
  • Effectively utilize project management skills in managing multiple projects and conflicting priorities.

Data analytics—Internal
  • Take primary responsibility for administration, analysis, and reporting of Microchip’s employee engagement/Guiding Values surveys.
  • Apply advanced Excel skills, capability in text analytics via a machine learning software tool, and graphic visualization building in Tableau to create comprehensive and custom reports.
  • Apply impeccable attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Maintain strictest level of confidentiality regarding all data, reports, and outcomes.
Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelors’ Degree required; Degree in organizational/business communications, organizational development, leadership development, or related field.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills required
  • Demonstrated innovation and creativity in the development of communications, presentations, and systems to support culture and leadership development
  • Skilled in organizational assessment and organizational communications, including basic statistical analyses
  • Skilled in managing development projects and programs
