District Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Communication Disorders from an accredited institution required

Licensed as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant required, or eligible for Massachusetts licensure

Performance Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist the Speech-Language Pathology staff in the delivery of clinical services.

Assist in administration of speech-language and hearing screenings (without interpretation)

Follow documented treatment plans or protocols developed by the supervising speech-language pathologist, including expressive language therapy and oral-motor therapy throughout the school day

Document students' performance and report this information to the supervising Speech Language Pathologist

Assist with clerical duties such as preparing materials and scheduling activities as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist and in concert with other service providers

Program augmentative devices as required by students' IEPs and as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist

Perform checks and maintenance of equipment

Serve as a member of the IEP TEAM upon request of the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist and/or TEAM Leader

Maintain student and school confidentiality at all times

Work with paraprofessionals assigned to programs providing support Speech Language services, as needed

Perform any additional responsibilities as requested by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist, building principal, and/or Director of Student Services

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
