We are urgently seeking a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLP-A) for our EBA program.

We are hiring for school-based positions. When you join our team, you will implement our curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child, create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn, and partner with parents with to provide the best care and education for their children. Required Skills and Experience:

A strong desire to bring joy to children.

Ability to think creatively and use innovative techniques to encourage learning.

Capacity to build relationships with families and coworkers and create a dynamic environment where play and learning happens and meaningful connections occur.

A love of knowledge and in return a desire to share knowledge. Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, manage multiple situations effectively and a strong sense of integrity and accountability.

A desire to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Experience (preferred) -

At least 2 years’ experience working with children with disabilities.

Must be able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors.

Must be able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children.

DCF 45 hour’s childcare training or willingness to obtain (within 90 days of hire)

Early Steps ITDS Certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire)

Experience (required)

Bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders from an accredited institution or

College degree (associate's or bachelor's) from an accredited institution WITH equivalent SLP course work

2-year SLPA program degree from an accredited institution (e.g., associate's degree from a community college or technical training program) or Bachelor’s Degree

Completed ASHA field work/clinical hour requirements

Passing score the SLPA certification exam
