Position Summary

Provide speech teletherapy under the supervision of a SLP-CCC for children under the age of 3, to help improve and build language skills.

*** This position is for therapists working in Inland Empire, Ontario, Fontan, Rancho Cucamonga, & surrounding areas providing in-home therapy ***

Major Functions and Responsibilities

  • Provide weekly speech services to kids in their homes. This position requires you to drive from location to location for the services. All within San Gabriel Valley.
  • Have ongoing and frequent supervision with SLP to discuss progress of program and clients, review progress reports, additional training, and future goals/objectives.
  • Adhere to professional, ethical and legal standards of practice.
  • Develop, implement and coordinate the speech and language therapy services within the standards set by Optima Family Services, Inc. and Regional Centers, including philosophy, vision, departmental procedures and goals.
  • Maintain open and clear communication with supervisor, team members and office staff to ensure quality services.
  • Follow all general confidentiality, State of California, Regional Center, Optima, and HIPPA regulations.

Qualifications

Education and experience requirements

  • Evidence of completion of a bachelor's degree program in speech-language pathology or communication disorders from an institution listed in the "Accredited Institutions of Post-secondary Education" handbook issued by the American Council on Education.
  • SLPA License
  • At least 1 year of experience working as an SLPA
  • Experience working with children is preferred, but not required.

Other requirements Ability to drive, access to a registered car, a valid driver’s license, and valid auto insurance.

  • Ability to adapt to different family environments as job requires to make sessions at the family’s home.
  • Good communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • US work authorization is a must.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $34.00 - $38.00 per hour
