Functionally Fit Fitness Center is a wellness center who specializes in restoring function to our clients with personal and unmatched care that meets and exceeds all expectations. We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our growing team of therapists.

Compensation can be discussed at the time of the interview but will be based on experience, performance, and flexibility. This is a part-time position.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Applies knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served (infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and/or geriatric).

· Demonstrates competence, awareness, and sensitivity of the physical, emotional, and socio-psychological needs of infants through geriatrics.

· Conducts communication, cognitive-linguistic and swallowing evaluations within the established time frame. Demonstrates skill in appropriate selection, administration and interpretation of standardized and non-standardized assessments using age specific criteria for each age population served.

· Develops and implements treatment plan according to a valid prescription and in accordance with policies and procedures.

· Establishes a plan of care for each patient including mutually established goals, taking into account patient age and educational level. Progress toward goals will be documented and reported to the physician per departmental and applicable regulatory policy.

· Prepares and maintains accurate patient care records according to departmental protocols and demonstrate basic competency for completing accurate billing and electronic documentation.

· Demonstrates knowledge and skill to utilize departmental equipment safely and appropriately for patient care activities.

· Speech therapist must be able to conduct therapy in-home as well as in the wellness center if needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

· Active and current, Degree in Speech Pathology or Speech Therapy

· License to Practice by the State of Florida

· Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, concepts, and methodology required of a speech therapist and its practice application in the treatment of home health patients at home

· Excellent Communication and documentation skills

· Willingness to work with an interdisciplinary team

· Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable, insured transportation

· Bilingual (Preferred)

· CPR Certification (Preferred)
