RunCharlotte, Inc. owns and operates the Novant Health Charlotte Marathon and is looking for a Partnership Sales Manager to join their team. The Partnership Sales Manager will be responsible for generating sponsor and partner leads and negotiating contracts with clients. The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, a deep understanding of the partnership sales process specially with in endurance sports and feels comfortable with initiating conversations via cold calls.
Core responsibilities
- Generate new partnership sales opportunities through existing contacts, cold calling, email outreach, and contacting & qualifying all in-bound leads
- Utilize a consultative, collaborative sales approach by uncovering prospects’ business challenges and determining what campaign will best meet the prospect’s needs
- Effectively communicate the benefits of a partnership with the Novant Health Charlotte Marathon to prospects and fully understand their needs before scheduling follow-up meetings
- Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of products, industry trends, and competition in the sports and endurance industry
Ideal Qualifications/Skills
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience in partnerships sales, lead generation and contracts
- Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with prospects
- Highly motivated, driven, and self-starting individual
