Job description
PURPOSE OF POSITIONProcess vendor invoices for payment while managing outstanding invoices to maximize the company’s cash flow.
- This role will be hybrid (office located in Vernon Hills)
Match invoices with purchase order and packing slips to verify invoice validity
Accurately vouching Non-PO invoices to correct accounts
Schedule invoice payments
Communicating with suppliers regarding payment objectives and problem invoice resolutions
Resolving invoice discrepancies via research and communication with purchasing & supplier
Prepare month end expense schedules for accrual
Negotiating longer terms with suppliers who already have extended terms.
QUALIFICATION AND JOB REQUIREMENTS
Associates or Bachelors degree in Finance
5+ years payables experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Working knowledge of basic accounting principles
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and Excel
Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strict attention to detail
2-way and 3-way match experience
Payment experience including foreign payments
Experience in a fast paced, busy environment
JD Edwards Enterprise One experience a plus
