Job Summary:

Reporting to the Sr Manager, Capital Administration and working out of 19E Corporate Offices in Hershey, PA, the Sr Capital Planner will require minimal direction while leading lead the capital

approval process of medium complexity projects requiring functional and industry expertise, functional knowledge, and advocacy. They must have strong capability to demonstrate and apply technical knowledge and expertise along with the ability to develop and share technical expertise within

functional area and cross functionally within the organization. A successful candidate is expected to have strong problem-solving skills and possess the ability to think critically and strong capability to communicate technical subject matter written and verbally cross functionally and with manager. They must have strong capability to communicate complex or technical subject matter written and verbally to audiences at all levels of the organization with strong capability to influence stakeholders and leverage personal networks.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the current year capital forecast with high degree of accuracy and provide accuracy reports to budget owners.
  • Facilitate the capital approval process meetings including Engineering Review, Capital Project Review, and Stage Gate Reviews
  • Manage projects in Clarity to track and document resources, project financials, and timing of spend
  • Integral in the annual budget development process of the multi-year capital plan and will be responsible for creating documents needed for status updates with senior leadership

Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering, Finance, or Supply Chain
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in Engineering or Supply Chain

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:

  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills across all levels of the organization
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced MS Office skills (particularly PowerPoint and Excel) *Power BI experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership and initiative
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs
  • Ability to function independently and with little to no direction
  • Continuous Improvement mindset
