Sr. Cloud Architects:

Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience/certifications.
8+ years in an IT operational role supporting mission critical solutions or applications with 5+ years leading an infrastructure organization.
5+ years’ experience in some or all of the following:
Engineering role supporting storage, compute, and virtualization.
Complex IT systems, data center infrastructure and software
Security concepts and systems hardening techniques to secure PCI and PII information
3+ years’ experience supporting business services running in the public cloud.
Expert knowledge/experience in any of the following:
Public Clouds/Virtual Private Clouds
Amazon Web Services
Microsoft Azure
Ali Cloud
Private Cloud Infrastructure
OpenStack
VMware / vRealize / VMware Integrated OpenStack
Ability to design a global end to end architecture that supports high service availability
Industry standard Operating systems such as Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Solid understanding of some or all of the following:
Operating Systems
Type 1 and Type 2 Virtualization Hypervisors
Software Defined Data Centers
Enterprise-grade Datacenter Compute Hardware
Storage: SAN, NAS, Object Storage, HDFS
Networking - TCP/IP, QoS, OSPF, BGP, L2 Networking, Spine and Leaf Topologies, Core, Distribution and/or Access Topology, SASE
Applications/Frameworks – Tomcat, Play, Node.js, NginX, JavaEE, or HTML5
· Process – DevSecOps, CI/CD
Experience in core enterprise applications and/or application development tools
Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), Infrastructure Immutability, and/or API Driven Infrastructure

Preferred:
Graduate Degree in a technical discipline
Experience designing with application integration technologies (microservices, Web Services, REST)
Lead and manage Well Architecture Framework (WAR)
Experience in establishing and governing Cloud Center of Excellence ( CCoE )
Experience with the contractual language supporting IaaS, PaaS and SaaS support models.
One or more Cloud Certifications: CompTIA Cloud+, EMC Cloud Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate/Professional, VMWare VCP6: Cloud, Microsoft 70-533: Implementing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions, Google Cloud: Cloud Architect Professional
Familiar with both relational (Oracle, DB2, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational (Cassandra, Couchbase, MongoDB) database technologies.
Experience working with Docker, Jenkins Containers, Container Orchestration, and Modern Application PaaS (Pivotal Cloud Foundry, BlueMix, OpenShift Enterprise) solutions for application build and runtime management
Supported infrastructure for retail and/or hospitality business
Experience in developing and implementing strategic IT technologies and related processes, procedures, and decision support.
Experience with business requirements gathering/analysis.
Experience in researching emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products
Experience in developing technology roadmaps and strategies

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $75.00 - $80.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Bethesda, MD: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Azure: 3 years (Preferred)
• AWS: 3 years (Preferred)
