TrinityRail searching for a talented leader and team player to fill the open position of Sr. Director, Fleet Operations in our Dallas, Texas office! We welcome your ideas and your outstanding work ethic. This role will be leading Fleet Operations for Trinity Industries and our customers.

What you'll do:
- Be responsible for maintaining fleet of >150,000 railcars and shopping >15,000 railcars per year
- Be accountable for delivering on the Fleet Maintenance Budget
- Manage end to end shopping process to deliver on turn times
- Review and approve 10% of estimates and invoices
- Sponsor implementation of new software to support Fleet Maintenance
- Drive accountability throughout the network of maintenance facilities
- Collaborate with TrinityRail US Operations on developing best practices
- Communicate and collaborate across multiple level and functional groups
- Lead and develop talent (directs include 2 Sr Managers w/ direct reports, process engineer and shop audit specialist)
- Build and maintain relationships
- Exude leadership presence when communicating and dealing with customers
- Assess and improve process documentation and control of internal processes
- Support our customers with technical issues
What you'll need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Engineering/Operations Management/MBA preferred
- 10+ years of operational and financial experience
- Minimum of 5 years prior experience leading direct teams
- Must have prior profit and loss ownership and experience in cost reductions
- Proven track record of improving and automating processes and providing solutions for complex problems
- Familiarity with systems/tech savvy/prior experience replacing existing software with new platform is highly preferred
- Strong financial and business acumen
- Prior experience creating strong project plans and driving for results
- Inspire creativity and innovation
- Must possess excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a team environment across all levels of the organization
